The 2021 Erikson & Caradin Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is not just a wine—it’s a story in a bottle, a love letter to Napa Valley, and a masterclass in winemaking finesse. Erikson & Caradin didn’t just stumble upon greatness; they built it, one vintage at a time, starting with a humble 85 cases in 2013. Fast forward, and they’re now crafting some of the most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignons in Napa. Their secret? Only the best fruit from the best sites, combined with a winemaker who’s basically a rock star in the wine world.

Enter Kevin Morrisey, the man, the legend— w ith a rich background that includes working at Chateau Petrus, Stags' Leap, Etude, and Ehlers Estate, Kevin certainly knows his stuff.

So, what’s in the glass? Pure magic. This is Diamond Mountain fruit at its absolute peak, a wine so opulent and so refined.

Only 19 barrels of this masterpiece exist. That’s right, blink and it’s gone. This is the kind of wine collectors whisper about, sommeliers fight over, and Napa insiders hoard in their cellars. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a bottle, consider yourself part of an elite club.

Drink now if you simply can’t wait (and honestly, who could blame you?), or let it evolve into something even more mesmerizing over the next decade. Either way, this is next-level Cabernet Sauvignon that refuses to be ignored.

Aging: in 60% new French Oak for 18 months.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvested at the peak of maturity, the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were hand-selected, crafting a wine with concentrated flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, and a touch of minerality. Aged in fine French oak, the wine developed rich layers of dark chocolate, espresso, and sweet spice, embodying the bold, structured character that Diamond Mountain is known for.

Another terrific value that readers will love is the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, which is all varietal raised in 65% new French oak. This balanced, medium to full-bodied, concentrated effort has lots of chocolatey black fruits, some graphite and herbal nuances, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It will keep for a decade. ~93 Jeb Dunnuck

Ripe blackberries, dried cherries, licorice, toasted cedar and moist earth. Full-bodied, firm and a little chewy with velvety tannins and a chalky finish. Another terrific value that readers will love~92 James Suckling
