About the Wine
2019 Zuccardi Poligonos Malbec San Pablo comes from a line of wines called “Vinos de Pueblo” or in English “Village Wines”; these labels represent the outstanding terroir and the social, historical, and cultural aspects of the village where each vineyard is located.
The surname Zuccardi has a well-deserved reputation in the wine industry worldwide. This family is not only responsible for producing some of the best Argentinian wines, but they also have the best wine tourism experience in the entire world: For the third consecutive year, Zuccardi Valle de Uco has been named "The Best Vineyard in the World" by the recognized magazine and digital media company, William Reed Business Medi.
This family business founded by engineer Alberto Zuccardi in 1963, has 6 different estates strategically placed in some of the best wine-growing areas of Mendoza. Today, it is directed by Sebastián Zuccardi, Alberto's grandson.
Sebastián is a visionary and innovative agronomist and winemaker who has made great strides and improvements since he took over the winery. Among other important achievements, he started and promoted a department of research and development that studies the terroir of the region, in order to better understand the land and improve the quality of their wines. Sebastian says: "We don’t look for perfect wines, but those that express the place, the region”.
The winery was built in 2013 and is a tribute to the majestic Andes mountains that surround it. Zuccardi Wines is sustainable in all aspects, from the vineyard to the cellar and even the architecture, where the construction is made with natural elements from the area. The wines are vinified in basins and amphoras allowing a more natural result and with the least possible human intervention.
2019 Zuccardi Poligonos Malbec San Pablo is made and aged exclusively in concrete, resulting in a wine with a smooth and lovely texture and beautiful freshness.
Tasting Notes: 100% Malbec. Expresses a great herbal character with notes of fresh red fruits. Lively acidity and subtle tannins in the mouth. This is the perfect wine for classic Argentinian dishes, like “asado”, “choripanes” or meat empanadas.

“The 2019 Polígonos San Pablo Malbec fermented and matured exclusively in concrete. 2019 was a cool year, similar to 2018, and it was cooler in some places than in others. In San Pablo, the coldest of the regions, the grapes are picked very late. The area is austere and feels a bit close. For them, it's one of the most particular places for Malbec, with descriptors that are different: citrus and herbal within the varietal, even white flowers combined with the textbook violets. The wine is fresh with red fruit to go with those fresh herbal aromas. It's precise, chiseled and delineated. 16,500 bottles were filled in August 2020.” ~94 Points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

“A Malbec from San Pablo, the brand new GI in the higher section of the Uco Valley, fermented and aged in concrete. Bright purple in the glass. The nose offers notes of country herbs, sweet and sour cherry and fresh blackberry before the austere palate brings chalk and a skeletal feel.
