Wine Spectator said, "Pinot Grigio can produce wines of profound minerality, with pronounced yet not overstated fruit, and with acidity to spare," and Decanter magazine states that it is “A grape so well known that it’s become the default option on many a wine list. Anything but ordinary.”
Arduini Winery was founded in the 1940s, when Luciano’s grandfather, Gabriele started his business in the small town of “Canal” in Marano Valpolicella.
Luciano Arduini took over his father’s company and followed his example by continuing the tradition and adding modernity along with his own personal vision to the winery. Today, Luciano and his son Andrea work together to grow the vines and make the wine. Their style is a perfect fusion between the traditional and the modern.
Andrea Arduni is a passionate winemaker and he graduated from the best school of enology in Pisa in 2007. He has worked for more than 16 wineries around the world. From Tuscany, Umbria, Campania, Trentino, and Piedmont in Italy, and even outside Italy, in South Africa, Romania, and Greece.
Arduini Winery continues to grow and innovate, following the evolutionary path mapped out over seventy years ago. In 2020, they began producing wine in a new and modern cellar.
Andrea Arduini says, "Our philosophy consists in obtaining a product which is the source of joy, happiness, and friendship; those are the most important principles in our lives."
The winery produces several local varietals including Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, Pinot Grigio, and other native grapes. The line includes Valpolicella Classico, Amarone della Valpolicella, Recioto della Valpolicella, Valpolicella Classico Superiore, and Grappa di Amarone.
100% Pinot Grigio. Beautiful fruity aromas, especially ripe pear. The Sage and spicy notes add distinctiveness to the multifaceted bouquet. Elegance and harmony dance around the palate, combined with vibrant acidity. The wine ends with a subtle minerality and juiciness and a long, fresh finish. Pair this wine with fresh cheese, seafood, pizza, and chicken.
