This is a WOW! Wine. If you’re curious about DRY Riesling from an icon producer, at a special discount, here it is.

The Prüm family’s roots in the Mosel region of Germany date back as far as 1156, making it one the world's preeminent winemaking dynasties. Their incredible Riesling portfolio reflects traditional winemaking practices with exceptional single vineyard designated wines in every style.

The southwest facing vineyard is 426 to 853 feet above sealevel with approximately 50 to 60 percent steepness. The total Graacher Dompropst vineyard is 47 acres with S. A. Prüm Holdings at 2.5 acres. This vineyard is designated as Grosses Gewächs (Great Growth) by the Verband Deutscher Qualitäts- und Prädikastsweinguter (VDP) — the association of Germany Qualtiy and Pradikat Wine Estates.

2019 was a great year for this region. Wine Spectator blessed this vintage with a 94 point score, and said it delivered: "Smaller crop of refined, precise Rieslings."

Aging: Fermentation in stainless steel lasted for 4 months sur lie with an additional 10 months in tank or old oak barrels before bottling.

100% Riesling. Medium lemon in color. On the nose, highly aromatic with peach, orange, lemon, papaya, pineapple and mineral notes. A dry style (trocken), the palate nuances a vibrant and racy tone with layer of tropical, stone and citrus fruit perfectly balanced and precise. Can be enjoyed on its own or with a range of appetizers, salads, white meats, seafood dishes, spicy cuisine or cheeses.

Perfumed, sunny notes of mango, guava and honeydew lend tropical flair to this dry but intensely fruity Riesling. It's svelte and steely on the palate yet hedonistic and thirst quenching too, with a finish that's long and intently mineral. It's ready to drink now, but should hold well through 2025. ~92 Wine Enthusiast
