Your Gateway to the Super Wines of Tuscany: 2018 Petrolo Torrione from Valdarno di Sopra
Every once in a while you find one of those "no-brainer" wine offers. It's from one of your favorite regions, it has a very compelling score, and is at a staggering price.
Straight from the vineyards of one of Tuscany's best estates is the 95 point 2018 Petrolo Torrione from Valdarno di Sopra. A wine that will blow you away without taking out a chunk from your bank account.
Petrolo is an Italian leader. So much so that they were practically granted their very own DOC. Valdarno di Sopra is one of Italy's newest (and smallest) DOC's officially introduced in 2011. Petrolo is the biggest mover and shaker of this region.
The 2018 vintage marks the 30th anniversary of this groundbreaking wine. Winemaker, Luca Sanjust, has brought Petrolo cult status by finding the best approach to winemaking to produce wines of the highest quality. 30 years, one DOC, and 95 points later Luca has achieved thrilling success.
"The 2018 vintage received on its label a special loving heart, not only to celebrate this special occasion but also because 2018 is one of the nicest and endearing versions ever made. The new graphic was made with the contribution of Sabina Mirri, an internationally acclaimed artist." ~Petrolo
Petrolo has a remarkable track record of producing some of the finest examples of very different native and non-native varieties in Tuscany. The Torrione is a true "estate" wine that's a blend of all of the estate's vineyards. The 2018 Torrione tastes like dark fruits and oyster shells complemented with hints of tobacco and spice. The one word Antionio Galloni used to describe the wine: Delicious.
So far we've identified a cult Italian wine, with a high score, and 30 years of excellence; how much is it gonna cost? This is the "no-brainer" part of this offer. It's $32.99 while supplies last. Get yours while you can.
