2019 Domaine Gerard Seguin 'Cuvee Chantal' Bourgogne Rouge

The quality vs quantity debate will permeate society for years to come. As it relates to the 2019 vintage in Burgundy it's all about enormous quality with minuscule quantities.

Our quality over quantity superstar and neighbor to the legendary Domaine, Armand Rousseau, is the 2019 Domaine Gerard Seguin 'Cuvee Chantal' Bourgogne Rouge.

That's right. Gerard Seguin is next door to Armand Rousseau. Rousseau is famous for consistently producing one of the greatest single-vineyard expressions of the Grand Cru Chambertin. You can bet that throughout Seguin's 200-year history they've learned a thing or two from their distinguished neighbors.

Seguin may not be the household name that Rousseau is but the quality of wine they produce is of equal measure.Especially in one of the finest growing seasons to ever grace the vineyards of Burgundy.

The 2019 vintage featured a very small crop especially in comparison to the 2018 vintage; however, the fruit quality was sensational. The winemakers and critics agree that this vintage is going to be one of Burgundy’s best. Robert Parker crowned the Cote de Nuits with a 98 point score and the Cote de Beaune with a 96.Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, whose Domaine is known by the same name, declared he never encountered "a vintage that tasted so good, so young."

This wine has it all. A long-standing history of producing world-class wine. Born from a highly regarded vintage that's continuously praised by all. The only thing it doesn't have is a long inventory sheet...

This is a substantial wine on the palate, very textured with juicy ripe red fruits leaning towards fresh plum and cherry; lots of savory forest floor but the plummy fruit is the focus. If that tickles your fancy then sprint to check out because these limit quantities will reach zero before sundown.
