About the Wine
A classic tawny made from Tinta de Barca, Mouisco Tinto, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Francesa. The wine is honeyed with notes of caramel, roasted almonds, and a terrific dried fig and candied finish. The extraordinary slow aging leads to this unique wine in the world. BHW offers it at 50% off SRP.
About the Winery
Santa Eufemia is one of the few Portuguese owned Port producers. This is a fourth generation family enterprise, but it was not until 1992 that they began to commercialize wines under their own name. The Carvalho family crafts tiny quantities of superb vintage Port as well as a range of aged tawnies up to 40 years of age. They excel with rare white ports and colheitas. They also produce dry white and red wines.
