2021 Maxime Dubuet-Boillot Volnay 1er Cru Carelle sous la Chapelle Pinot Noir Burgundy

Maxime Dubuet-Boillot comes from a dynasty of Burgundy winegrowers — his grandfather Pierre Boillot founded the family estate in the early 1950s, descended from generations already established in the Cote de Beaune. Today Maxime farms five hectares of pristine vineyards including plots in some of Volnay's most prestigious Premier Crus. The Dubuet-Boillot family has quietly earned its place among Burgundy's most respected names.

Carelle Sous La Chapelle sits near the Notre-Dame Chapel in the heart of Volnay, on classic limestone-clay soils that deliver complexity without weight, power without force. This is Premier Cru terroir that made Volnay synonymous with finesse — the kind of silky, refined Pinot that Burgundy collectors chase.

The 2021 pours a deep ruby with aromas of black cherry, wild strawberry, violet, peony, Earl Grey tea, forest floor, and orange zest. Silky tannins frame enveloping red fruit with fine structure, smooth texture, airy refinement, and a soft, persistent finish. Medium-bodied, supple, characteristically Volnay.
