“One wine that shines particularly bright in the Veneto is the mighty Amarone, where “it is king,” made from only the best varietals in the region.” ~ Robert Parker

Amarone della Valpolicella is a wine like no other. And when it comes to producing this outstanding wine, Luciano Arduini is at the top of its game.

Arduini Winery was founded in the 1940s, when Luciano’s grandfather, Gabriele started his business in the small town of “Canal” in Marano Valpolicella. Luciano Arduini took over his father’s company and followed his example by continuing the tradition and adding modernity along with his own personal vision to the winery. Today, Luciano and his son Andrea work together to grow the vines and make the wine. Their style is a perfect fusion between the traditional and the modern.

Andrea Arduni is a passionate winemaker. He graduated from the best school of enology in Pisa in 2007. He has worked for more than 16 wineries around the world. From Tuscany, Umbria, Campania, Trentino, and Piedmont in Italy, and even outside Italy, in South Africa, Romania, and Greece.

Andrea Arduini says, "Our philosophy consists in obtaining a product which is the source of joy, happinessand friendship; those are the most important principles in our lives."

The winery produces several local varietals including Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, and other native grapes. The line includes Valpolicella Classico, Amarone Della Valpolicella, Recioto Della Valpolicella, Valpolicella Classico Superiore, and Grappa di Amarone.

To create this Amarone, the grapes are left to wither from the end of September to the end of January. Crush happens in January with soft destemming and a slow fermentation and maceration for 35 days.

Take a trip to Veneto with this wine. A taste of Verona and Venice, perfect for winter warming and fireside sipping, this Amarone will transport you.

Aging: 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

60% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella, 5% Molinara. Ruby red color. Intense aromas on the nose. It has a soft and velvety texture with the scent of dried grapes. Expect to find sour cherry, Christmas spices, black pepper, and cloves. The wine finishes with a chocolate mocha and toasted hazelnut that makes you want to not share this bottle. Pair this wine with wild game, spit, any stewed meat, and mature cheeses.
