From the legendary vineyards of Saint Urbans-Hof, founded in 1947, this Riesling isn’t just wine; it’s history in a glass. Nik Weis, a name synonymous with Riesling royalty, crafts this beauty with a level of expertise that’s as rare as finding a typo in Shakespeare. And since 2000, this winery has been a proud member of Germany’s elite VDP (that’s the Association of German Quality Wine Estates for the uninitiated—or as we like to call it, the Riesling Hall of Fame).
Picture this: sun-soaked vineyards stretching along the Mosel and Saar rivers, their roots digging deep into slate-rich soils. It’s terroir you can taste, with every sip transporting you to the rolling hills of one of the world’s most picturesque wine regions. These vines, lovingly cultivated with nature’s harmony in mind, are the secret behind the intense purity of this Riesling.
It’s zesty citrus meets ripe stone fruit, with just a whisper of minerality that’ll make you feel like you’ve licked a piece of ancient slate (in the best possible way). And the indigenous yeasts? They’re the secret sauce, adding a depth of character that’s as compelling as a plot twist in a good mystery novel.
100% Riesling.

There's a kiss of raspberry on the nose of this dry yet gloriously fruity Riesling. While light footed and spry, its packed with piercing guava, tangerine and grapefruit flavors etched by hints of smoke, salt and crushed earth. A youthful, exuberant wine to enjoy while you're waiting for the producer's GG's to mature.~93 Wine Enthusiast
This light-bodied, intensely flavored white reveals aromas of sweet woodruff, lime and green apple that give way to white peach and brown spices. Charming and balanced, with a long aftertaste. Drink now through 2027. 1,400 cases made, 700 cases imported. ~92 Wine Spectator
Very closed; only after extensive aeration do the first balsamic, savoury aromas emerge. On the palate, the wine is silky and round, the acidity is seamlessly integrated. The finish combines mineral notes with supple round elements. ~91 Falstaff
Although this dry riesling comes from the Saar, a region famed for wines with high acidity and sleek body, it is ripe and generous with a lovely interplay of nectarine and mandarin-orange fruit with baking-spice character and minerality. Long, juicy and spicy finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair’n Green certification. Drink or hold.~90 James Suckling
