About the Wine

Winemaker Rich Salvestrin has the chops to make 98 point Napa Cabs. The most recent top bottle from his eponymous Salvestrin winery earned those coveted points from no less than Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. The Cult Wine Co. is a separate project from Salvestrin, a project committed to producing great wine of great value for any occasion.

The Cult Wine Co. is all about taste, and using grapes from Lodi allows Salvestrin to handcraft full-bodied wines with a refined structure more affordably than using Napa fruit. And this 2020 Cult Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a Lodi vintage defined by excellent quality and vibrant quality. Wine Enthusiast has said this Cult holds its own among far more expensive wines.

For wine drinkers who are looking for a quality Cab without the high price tag that often comes along with that quality, this is THE wine that has everything they want.

Aging: 15 months in 25% new French oak.

Tasting Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Classic Cabernet aromas of bright black cherry and raspberry. It’s smooth and silky with a ripe mid-palate and powdery tannins.Black cherry and raspberry aromas form the bright red fruit profile on this classic Cabernet. Smooth and silky in texture, with a fruity mid-palate with hints of nutmeg and coffee, and firm tannins. A long and persistent finish.
