Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge lightening. Some dried fruit and cassis, ripe fig fruit, nuances of cocoa, subtle herbal spice. Medium body, black berry fruit like blackberries, sweet texture, integrated tannins, elegant and fresh, noticeably more lively on the palate than in the bouquet, versatile. ~92 Falstaff

An exceptional 2nd wine, showing the progress of Talbot in recent years.Straight on the aromatics you get sweet fruit, blueberry and cassis, plenty of pomegrantage, roses and orange peel, fresh acidities and a mouthwatering finish, still young, but bright with cocoa bean and a sleek, attractive edge of slate and mint. Director Jean-Michel Laporte in his second year at the estate, no new oak for ageing. Gorgeous balance, absolutely one to look out for. ~92 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux

So much sweet tobacco and currant on the nose here, following through to a full body with relatively soft tannins for the appellation. Berry and dark-chocolate character to this. Round tannins. Needs three or four years to soften. Second wine of Talbot. Try after 2024. ~92 James Suckling

Solidly built, showing plum and cassis notes laced with an anise hint, while singed apple wood pervades on the finish, which also features a late twinge of tar. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2031. 19,166 cases made, 833 cases imported. ~90 Wine Spectator
