This Pinot Noir is a tribute to his charismatic approach to life and his relentless pursuit of excellence.

Winemaker Tom Hinde is a renowned wine industry expert with over three decades of experience in vineyard cultivation, winery management, and artisan winemaking. He has held prestigious roles, including President and Director of Winemaking at Flowers Vineyard and Winery, and General Manager at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, where he contributed to the success of Lokoya, Cardinale, Stonestreet Winery, and Vérité Estate. His expertise and dedication are key to the exceptional quality of Taub Family Vineyards wines.

Under the expert guidance of this legendary California enologist Tom Hinde, the Au Contraire team has selected fruit from some of the most coveted vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast, including the renowned Dutton Ranch and Lawler Vineyard. These locations, perched above the fog line, offer the perfect conditions for producing a cool-climate Pinot Noir that is rich in flavor and complexity.
