From the cooler 2011 vintage, this wine is well balanced and following a couple years of bottle age, the wine has amplified in depth and layers.
This full bodied artisan style cabernet sauvignon was made from 100% cabernet sauvignon grapes from high up on Mt. Veeder. The grapes were picked by hand, sorted by hand then carefully placed in French oak barrels for 27 months before bottling resulting in an intense, rich and concentrated wine with aromas of black cherry, cocoa, cassis, and hints of lavender with dense, ripe flavors of black currant, spice, mocha and sweet tobacco. This is a well-rounded wine with long integrated fine tannins.
