Their vineyard on Live Oak Road is a testament to their passion, where 90+ acres of Rhône, Spanish, and Bordeaux varietals thrive under the careful watch of seasoned vineyard manager Steve Vierra.

Winemaker Sean Geoghegan, a Sonoma native, brings modern sophistication to every drop of this Cabernet. His background at Mount Eden Vineyards lends a Burgundian finesse to his approach, though here, he lets the bold Paso fruit shine. The result? A wine with deep complexity, layered with dark fruits, a hint of spice, and velvety tannins that evolve beautifully with time in the glass.

2019 was an oustanding vintage in Paso Robles. Vinous Media blessed this year with a 95 point review, and said: "The wines in 2019 are finely detailed and focused, with ample concentration and distinct energy. It’s vintage that emphasizes balance and finesse. The best wines are destined to be superb."

Aging: 22 months in French oak barrels (32% new)

The 2019 Derby Cabernet Sauvignon offers focused flavors of blackberries and candied fruit. The mid-palate is intense, with juicy tannins and herbal notes on the finish.
