Paul Hobbs, named the “Steve Jobs of the Wine” by Forbes magazine, is a world-renowned American winemaker who started his wine trajectory after graduating from UC Davis with a winemaking and viticulture master’s degree.
He is well known for putting Napa Valley on the map. He was the right-hand of Robert Mondavi and served as the first winemaker of Opus One winery and as vice-president of Simi Winery. Today, Hobbs owns different and emblematic wineries throughout the world, and consults at more than 30 wineries between Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Canada, Spain, Hungary, among others. He's the mastermind behind this Cabernet.
Paul holds the keys to an exclusive collection of top-tier Napa vineyards, the sort that are simply out of reach for everyone else. This makes this Cabernet an obvious hit from the first sip. We can't disclose the source, but we fully stand by this red wine and hope you'll get some to enjoy as much as we do.
This wine has a bit of a mystery to it. It was originally meant for a famous steakhouse, but now it's in our hands.
2018 was an iconic year for Napa Cab. Wine Spectator blessed this year with 99 points and said it was a "Spectacular year, with wines that are rich and dark, but detailed, restrained in style and very terroir-driven."
Tasting Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

An inviting an approachable Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of tart cranberry red cherry and chocolate shavings. Bright red fruits on the palate are complemented by balance tannins and refreshing acidity which combine to make this an excellent weeknight wine.~93 Tasting Panel Magazine
