With sustainable farming practices and a transition to organic cultivation, the estate is now expertly managed by Jean-Paul's daughters, Isabelle and Elise.

The unique terroir of Sancerre, with its diverse geological layers, gives this wine its distinctive character. The estate’s vineyards span three main terroirs: clay-limestone "White Lands," stony "Caillottes," and clay-siliceous soils. This complexity contributes to the wine’s full-bodied roundness, floral and fruity notes, and remarkable minerality.

The Balland family’s winemaking roots go back to the 17th century. Jean-Paul Balland established the estate in the early 80s, and today, his daughters continue the family tradition with a modern touch. Tasting Notes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc. This wine shines with a clear, pale yellow hue. Its intense bouquet of citrus and peach flowers expands with aeration, revealing ripe white peach, pink grapefruit, honeyed sweetness, and subtle white flowers. On the palate, it’s lively and generous, featuring ripe white peach, pink grapefruit, quince, and elegant minerality. The broad, lingering finish leaves a refreshing note of fresh almond.
