Nestled in the heart of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, Chateau Fargueirol is a family-owned estate with an extraordinary legacy dating back to 1340.

Their vineyard spans 42 acres, including 32 acres on the prized alluvial terraces, famously known as "rolled pebbles."These terraces, formed during the Quaternary era, provide the perfect foundation for their exceptional wines.

In the 17th century, the Revoltier family held Fargueirol as a fiefdom. Today, they stand proudly as the seventh generation of winegrowers.During the French Revolution, the Revoltier family relocated to Courthèzon but left some members behind in Châteauneuf to protect their ancestral land. In 1866, phylloxera devastated the vineyard, but the discovery of grafting brought it back to life.

In 1974, Joseph Revoltier purchased the largely neglected Fargueirol, sparking a revival. Today, Fargueirol stands as a testament to resilience, determination, and the enduring spirit of Châteauneuf du Pape.

At Chateau Fargueirol, every aspect of winemaking is handled with care by the dedicated family. From tending the vines in their vineyards to crafting the wine in their cellars, they do it all with their own hands. Seasonal workers join them during peak activities like harvest and pruning, but the heart of their operation remains firmly rooted in family tradition. Their methods combine the wisdom of the past with the efficiency of modern techniques.

Chateau Fargueirol is proud to be certified High Environmental Value (HVE) since 2019. HVE certification underscores their commitment to environmentally friendly agricultural practices. Biodiversity flourishes on their land, and they minimize the environmental impact of their farming practices, from water management to fertilization.

Rhône is a Valley where magic happens; where winemaking has been woven into the fabric of the land for centuries. Originally established by the Greeks in the 5th century B.C., these vineyards hold a rich heritage. The Romans, recognizing the region's potential, nurtured the vineyards over many centuries, utilizing the Rhone River as a vital trade route for their prized wines. However, the region faced adversity during the collapse of the Roman Empire, halting its commercial growth. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Rhône Valley's wines experienced a renaissance in the 14th century, courtesy of the Papacy. The ecclesiastical influence revived economic growth and set the stage for the region's viticultural prominence.

Today, the wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape in Rhone, are recognized for their unique character and exceptional quality, with Robert Parker calling it "one of the world's most prestigious appellations.”

Aging: 9 months in stainless steel tuns and vats.

80% Grenache, 20% Syrah. A lively and spicy Rhone red wine. It's all about elegance and sophistication, with a fantastic aroma of ripe black cherry and peppery garrigue. The wine is well-balanced and has a smooth, seductive texture with silky tannins.
