In the heart of Provence, where the sun kisses the land, lies a treasure trove of beauty waiting to be discovered. Picture yourself surrounded by charming villages, stunning landscapes, and crystal-clear waters. Here is where great moments happen, and they’re always accompanied by a nice glass of Rosé.
For the past six years, the greatest wish of the team at Château Gassier has been to share this hidden treasure with as many people as possible. Their commitment extends not only to crafting exceptional wines but also to defending and promoting the appellation Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire.
The teams at Château Gassier have studied the domain’s soils in depth to determine the best varietals for each terroir. They've restructured the vineyards to define four distinctive terroirs and two primary grape varieties, Grenache and Syrah, which make up 50% of the domain’s plantings.
Léa Rouyet, born and bred in Basque Country, found her ultimate haven of peace at Château Gassier in 2015. Inspired by the beauty of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, she dedicates her passion and energy to creating wines that respect the environment while expressing the authentic terroir of Sainte-Victoire.
The Gassier family, with Provencal nobility dating back to 1421, purchased Château Gassier in 1982.Today, Georges Gassier, the fifth generation of winemakers, runs the Domaine in collaboration with Maison Gassier.
The Estate’s wines have been officially recognized as organic wines since obtaining the Organic Agriculture Certification in 2016. This approach respects the terroir and gives the fruit its purity of flavor. Château Gassier is directly associated with the Grand Site Sainte-Victoire and promotes environmentally friendly wine-growing practices.
The cuvée Esprit Gassier reveals the quintessence of the outstanding Sainte-Victoire terroir. It beckons to be enjoyed on relaxing summer days and balmy nights while waiting for the sun to set.
Tasting Notes: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Rolle, Cabernet Sauvignon. A clear pale peach hue with a salmon pink core. The nose opens up with subtle notes of red berries which give way to more intense aromas of citrus fruits and dried mango after a few swirls in the glass. A rich and smooth palate is underpinned by distinctive notes of Corsican clementine and grapefruit. The finish is beautifully fresh with lingering menthol notes.
