Just as its name suggests, this wine truly lives up to its "Iconic" reputation. It received an impressive 96-point rating from James Suckling and secured the #36 spot in his esteemed "Top 100 Andes Wines" in 2017. Additionally, it was honored as the "Best of Colchagua and Red Blends" by Descorchados Magazine.

This wine belongs to the elite, the pinnacle of excellence, easily on par with other top Chilean wines like Alma Viva, Seña, and Chadwick, but at a fraction of the price.

Ask yourself this: If you could get one of the best Bordeaux blends from a wine region, what would you pay? If it was from Napa, you'd surely pay over $200. If it was from Bordeaux, you could easily pay $300. Even in Chile where you can find amazing values, you'd pay over $100. Now, add that this wine is in a peak drinking window and has 11 years of aging on it? This wine at this price is like stealing.

We've taken the time to age this wine to perfection for you. The 2013 Laura Hartwig Laura Icono has been meticulously matured, resulting in a wine of exceptional quality. If you're a Bordeaux enthusiast, you would pay over $100 for this quality. Given Chile's reputation for delivering outstanding value in its wines, this is an opportunity you simply cannot afford to miss.

The Hartwig family's viticultural journey began in 1978 when Laura and Alejandro planted their first vines.  Their journey led to the establishment of Laura Hartwig Premium Wines, marked by the construction of their winery in 1994. In 1995, they released their first wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva that garnered widespread acclaim. Today, their sons, Alejandro and Cristián, carry on their parents' legacy.

Laura Hartwig is part of the MOVI movement, which brings together small, independent producers dedicated to crafting unique, characterful wines.

Situated in the heart of Colchagua Valley, just steps from Santa Cruz, Viña Laura Hartwig boasts over 350 acres of vineyards. Varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Carménère, Malbec, Syrah, and Petit Verdot thrive here, producing wines of exceptional varietal character. Their commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices is evident in the way they cultivate their vines.

Aging: 20 months in 100% French oak barrels.

41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Franc, 12% Petit Verdot. Wonderfully mature, alluring, and full of complexity in its aroma. You'll notice distinct hints of black cherry, cassis, pepper, and herbal elements. When you take a sip, it impresses with its rich concentration and a texture that feels absolutely exquisite, thanks to the refined tannins that give it a touch of nobility.

Love the dark chocolate, blackberry and black currant aromas that follow through to a full body, velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. Always a classy and beautiful red with finesse. ~96 James Suckling

"Best of Colchagua and Red Blends" ~94 Descorchados Magazine

A Bordeaux-style blend from Santa Cruz, Colchagua that spent 20 months unfiltered in new barrels. In the glass, it presents a brick-dust meniscus while the evolving nose contains truffle and dried fruit with wood and Bach flowers. Potent in the mouth with evolved, still reactive tannins, a creamy texture and the rich finish of a serious wine. ~92 Vinous Media

The top of the range is the 2013 Laura, from a year completely different than 2012; it was a lot cooler, which allowed them to harvest perfectly ripe tannins when they didn't have to extract or make any corrections. It's a blend of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Franc and 12% Petit Verdot—a cooler year with less Petit Verdot and more Cabernet Franc. It also matured in new French barriques for 20 months, but the oak feels better integrated. This is very classical, proportioned and symmetrical, with good precision and very fine tannins. 3,500 bottles produced. ~91 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
