àMaurice is a family estate lying at the foot of the stunning Blue Mountains in Walla Walla, WA. Co-founder and winemaker Anna Schafer’s first wine landed on the French Laundry wine list when she was 25 years old. Since then, Anna and her family have orchestrated a coming of age for the 13-acre estate vineyard, maturing and growing production to compete with the best wines in the world. àMaurice wines can be uncovered in the finest restaurants. There are numerous accolades the winery has been received (and will continue to receive) in the national press. In 2020,

àMaurice became a “Wineries to Watch” by the Wine & Spirits magazine. You'll want to make sure you keep a bottle of these vibrant and food-friendly wines on hand.

After being hand-picked, hand-sorted, and de-stemmed the fruit is fermented in small lot stainless steel jacketed 2.3 ton fermenters with the cap punched down and pumped over. Malolactic fermented in barrel for two months, then aged in French oak. It is then bottled, unfined, and unfiltered.

Aging: 100% French Oak (40% New) for 23 months.

45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Franc. Offering complex aromas of black and red fruit along with the dust of the earth, ferrous, and lavender notes. Don't be fooled by the supple tannins, the medium body will open over days to reveal more and more laden tannin. This wine will age due to the density of fruit and judicious use of new French oak cooperage.

The 2017 Artist Series Schafer from Schafer checks in as 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Franc that spent a full two years in 40% new French oak. Deep ruby-colored with a meaty, spicy style in its red and black fruits, tobacco, dried spice, and loamy soil aromas and flavors, it gains freshness and purity with time in the glass and is a seamless, medium to full-bodied, gorgeously textured effort. It's a terrific value to enjoy over the coming decade or more. ~93 Jeb Dunnuck.

A blend of 45% cabernet sauvignon, 38% merlot, and 17% cabernet franc, this wine has a cool, savory tone from the first whiff, marrying rose petal, sun-dried tomato, cedar, and plum. The dark spiced-plum flavors are smoky, with and lean, angular tannins. It will age beautifully. ~93 Wine & Spirits
