2018 Chateau Guichot Bordeaux Clairet

Bordeaux is obviously famous for its red wines and even its white wines to a slightly lesser extent. The supple and refreshing roses have flown under the radar for far too long. The region is no stranger to producing wines of a lighter hue. In fact, many of the wines produced early in Bordeaux's history are more similar to today's roses than to the red wines we all know and love. Chateau Guichot's rose is made in the style of Clairet, which is slightly darker than most roses and produces a slightly fuller and more fruit-forward style. This refreshing wine is perfect for drinking in warm weather alongside BBQ.   

2018 Chateau Guichot was founded in 2008 by Karine and Sebastien Petit in the small village of Saint-Antoine-du-Queyret. Surrounded by 17th-century castles in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers this 42ha property is dedicated to producing a variety of Bordeaux wines. The 2018 Chateau Guichot Bordeaux Clairet is a classic style of Bordeaux rose marked by a full-bodied structure with intense color and flavor.

100% Merlot. Clear bright ruby color, the nose is full of bright red fruits. Shows a full plump weight showcasing those red fruits that present themselves in the nose.
