The Pedernal Valley, a relatively new star in the Argentine wine scene, offers an extraordinary terroir. Glacial deposits in its soils and the cool mountain climate create a pristine environment for cultivating Malbec. These unique conditions give the 2020 BenMarco Sin Límites its unmistakable character: vibrant, aromatic, and full of life.
At its heart, BenMarco Sin Límites is all about discovery—pushing boundaries to create wines with unparalleled identity. This bottle showcases the harmony between the rugged terrain of Pedernal and the expert touch of the Susana Balbo team, delivering a wine as bold as the spirit behind it.
100% Malbec. This Malbec greets you with a fragrant bouquet of thyme, coriander, and lavender, evoking the wild beauty of its high-altitude origins. On the palate, it’s a study in elegance—silky, smooth, and layered with spice. The finish is persistent, leaving a lasting impression that calls you back for another sip.
This versatile wine shines with a variety of dishes. Pair it with roasted lamb, grilled beef, or sautéed vegetables for a meal to remember. Its herbal undertones complement cured meats like Prosciutto, while its texture and subtle acidity pair beautifully with soft cheeses and even a selection of nuts and seeds.
The Pedernal Valley is located about 1,500 meters high, in the Andes mountain range at the height of the San Juan Valley. The soils are alluvial and colluvial, rich in lime. And that's where this delicious malbec comes from in its fruity expression, closely linked to mountain malbecs, a kind of mini Uco Valley, with its floral aromas, its rabidly fresh red fruits and its tension in texture. ~95 Descorchados
