Chad Alexander is the mind behind Perrin + Dobbs’s wines. He’s a Rockstar winemaker who worked in some of the most coveted wineries like Mt. Veeder’s Hess Collection Winery. Perrin + Dobbs is part of a group of wineries founded by the esteemed Napa native, Charles Bartlett. This group includes some top-notch award-winning estates like Beau Vigne and On Q.

The 2021 Pitch Black is an extraordinary wine that takes center stage, showcasing the finest Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Estrella District of Paso Robles. Aging in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, 5% Petit Verdot. Dark red fruits, with heavy notes of spice, currant, leather, and earth come through. Excellent structure and harmony between the pure fruit core and firm, the supple backbone of polished tannins. Blackberries, sweet tobacco, cedar, and some floral violet nuances define the nose, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with a beautiful texture and silky tannins.
