Heir Apparent is spearheaded by ambitious Dwight Bonewell. Through his vision, Dwight has created an Ultra-Luxury Napa Cab that sources fruit from some of Napa's most prized vineyards. You can pay hundreds of dollars for a bottle of Scarecrow or Cakebread or you can seize the moment and capture this magnificent Bordeaux blend available for a fraction of the original SRP!
That's where we come in, finding Ultra-Luxury brands that sell to a small lot of high-net-worth clients who have an excess of wine. The Heir Apparent Proprietary Red Napa Valley is the essence of this promising vintage and the continuation of the rich history of Napa Valley red wines.
2019 was a fabulous year for Napa Valley Cabernet. Wine Spectator awarded this year a 97-point score, and Vinous Media gave it 96 points saying that "The 2019 Napa Valley Cabernets have turned out beautifully. 2019 is a very high-quality vintage of Cabernets that will be easy to drink and enjoy with minimal cellaring. The extra kick of late heat softened the tannins, making the wines a pleasure to taste and drink."
Aging: 40% New French Oak
52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Malbec, and 25% Merlot. The limited production 2018 Proprietary Red Wine blend shows a deep and dark ruby red appearance. The nose jumps out of the glass with fresh Asian spice aromas intermixed with plum confiture and blackberry note. On the palate, the wine shows its opulence in a brooding and emphatic way. The flavors are intriguing and mix blackberry, fresh red meat, intense violet extract, and plum jam.
A juicy red with notes of blackcurrants and plums, baking spices and chocolate. Medium to full body. Polished tannins and succulent fruit make it easy to drink. Creamy and soft. Long finish with a touch of minerality. Better in a couple of years. ~92 James Suckling
