Right in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, Château Paradis Casseuil enjoys a unique geographical position where the Dordogne and Garonne rivers converge.

The Château is owned by the Domaines Barons de Rothschild, the owners of none other than the world-famous Château Lafite Rothschild.Lafite is a Bordeaux First Growth classified Château, and one of the most iconic, sought-after, and loved wines of all savvy wine drinkers.

This area is renowned for its diverse geological formations, including sandstone, limestone, marls, and claystone with lime nodules. The soils, rich in clay and limestone, offer excellent drainage and root anchorage, ensuring the vines are well-supported and cooled during the hotter months.

Château Paradis Casseuil, under the stewardship of the DBR Lafite family since 1984, is a beacon of tradition and innovation in Bordeaux winemaking. The estate spans 53 hectares, including ancient vines and newly acquired plots to enhance precision in winemaking.

The vineyard’s commitment to sustainability and organic practices is reflected in its recent B Corp certification, marking its dedication to environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

The 2017 vintage benefits from meticulous vinification processes. The wine is crafted from a blend of Merlot (67%), Cabernet Sauvignon (28%), and Cabernet Franc (5%), sourced from vines averaging 18 years in age. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, ensuring gentle extraction of tannins and a refined flavor profile.

The 2017 Château Paradis Casseuil Bordeaux is a classic expression of its region. It offers an elegant bouquet of ripe red fruits, complemented by soft spices and supple tannins. The palate reveals a harmonious balance, with notes of red berries, subtle oak influences, and a smooth, rounded finish. This Bordeaux blend is approachable now but has the structure to age gracefully, developing further complexity over time.

Enjoyable upon release, this wine can be aged for an additional 5-10 years to enhance its depth and character.

67% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby color. Aromas of ripe red berries, including cherry and plum, with hints of black pepper, clove, and subtle oak. On the palate, the wine offers a smooth texture with flavors of dark fruit, cocoa, and a touch of spice. Well-balanced with supple tannins and a lingering finish. Pairs well with roasted meats and grilled vegetables.
