Beni di Batasiolo is a name synonymous with excellence and tradition in the heart of Italy’s esteemed Piedmont region. Since 1978, the Dogliani family has passionately tended to over 320 acres of prime vineyard land, allowing nature’s bounty to guide the creation of their exceptional wines

The Dogliani family's journey in the Langhe district spans five generations, each dedicated to mastering the art of winemaking. The acquisition of the historic Kiola estate in 1978 marked a new era, expanding their holdings to nine prestigious estates. Today, Beni di Batasiolo encompasses some of the most coveted vineyards in Barolo, including the renowned crus: Cerequio, Bussia, Brunate, Briccolina, and Boscareto. These prized sites, designated as Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive (MGA), are celebrated for producing wines of unparalleled elegance and longevity. Batasiolo’s dedication to excellence has not gone unnoticed. Their wines have earned a place on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list six times to date.

Barolo, often hailed as the "King of Wines," owes its majesty to the unique terroir of Piedmont. Beni di Batasiolo's vineyards benefit from an extraordinary combination of soil, climate, and topography, resulting in wines that are both noble and refined. Their Barolo is a testament to this terroir, offering a bold and intense expression of Nebbiolo that is both captivating and complex.

Aging: Aged in Slavonian oak casks for 24 months followed by an additional 12 months in stainless steel.

100% Nebbiolo. Deep garnet A bouquet typical of the Nebbiolo grape: flowery and toasty with hints of sweet spice, nuts, and delicate herbs. A balanced, elegant wine that is bold and intense.

Extremely perfumed with flowers, dried fruit and spices on the nose and palate. Full body. Very complex flavors. Structured yet refined palate. Drink or hold. ~92 James Suckling

Batasiolo Barolo has always been one you can drink young thanks to its refined elegance and delicate styling. Look for a lightish colour, cranberry, red cherry, violets, with bright acidity and a long, subtle floral finish with a little bit of a dry, resiny bite. A long way from the 1970s, this wine has a bright future and an excellent today. Complex and even better with food. ~91 Gismondi on Wine
