Over the past 20 years or more, Feudi di San Gregorio, in southern Italy’s Campania region, has played a leading role in fostering a winemaking revolution that extends across southern Italy and has led to a remarkable resurgence of regional wine industries. Throughout its short yet prolific history, the estate’s proprietors have cultivated Campania & Apulia’s finest vineyards and worked closely with some of Italy’s best enologists. The results have been remarkable — the wines of Feudi di San Gregorio meet time and again with stellar reviews and consistently garner international critical acclaim.

This highly acclaimed winery encourages us to rediscover the identity of Mediterranean flavors through indigenous grapes that reach their full potential with their modern winemaking approach.

Aging: 18-24 months in new French Oak, plus 24 months bottle aging.

100% Aglianico. Lovely ruby red color. On the nose, sensations of fruit: blackberry, plum and sour black cherry; a balsamic note, spices. The oak is a backbone but it’s not the piano forte. The flavors are kirsch, dried fig, with a hint of orange rind. Captivating, enthralling and a joy ride to savor, this is a memorable wine. Every pasta dish wants to be friends with this wine. It's also a home run with steak, lamb, pork tenderloin, strong aged cheeses, any grilled meats.

The impressive 2009 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine comes from a two-hectare single-vineyard site with 30-year-old vines. The wine ages in barrique and botti for up to 24 months. The style displayed is thick and penetrating with beautifully contrasting themes of dark fruit and spice. Blackberry and Morello cherry are enhanced by cinnamon and dark chocolate. That plush, international style that Feudi di San Gregorio has so effectively perfected is on proud display in this gorgeous wine. ~94 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Rich and meaty, this finely knit red features burly tannins that frame the flavors of black currant, cocoa powder, loamy earth and dried herb. Spice and espresso notes linger on the mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2029. 1,500 cases made. ~92 Wine Spectator

Fully saturated ruby. Delicate aromas of red cherry, plum, minerals and botanical herbs. Bright, dense and juicy, offering savory flavors of red fruits, tobacco and herbs. Finishes long, with youthfully chewy tannins and bright acid lift. This wine aged for roughly 24 months in small oak barrels and 500-liter tonneaux. Usually a more traditional interpretation of Taurasi, it is also Feudi's best red wine almost every vintage. ~91 Vinous Media

Aged in both barriques and large casks, this hearty Taurasi opens with aromas of toasted oak and ripe black fruit. The palate slowly opens up to reveal dense black cherry layered with chocolate, toast and Mediterranean spices, alongside drying tannins. Give this time to open up and fully develop. Drink after 2019. ~91 Wine Enthusiast
