Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico Dorilli is the heart and soul of this noble wine. Sourced from the stunning Dorilli estate, named after the legendary Dirillo river where Aeneas once landed, this wine is all about elegance and finesse.It's a perfect blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato di Vittoria, two standout Iblean vines, with a touch of oak aging. This limited-edition wine is a must for fans of unique Italian labels, showcasing the special character of our land and history.

70% Nero d’Avola, 30% Frappato. The aromas of ripe black cherry combine with those of cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon. The tannin, ripe, soft and rounded, dissolves in the mouth thanks to an incredible softness of the fruit. The oriental spices mix within the complex flavours of smoked pancetta, cooked must, marjoram and prickly pear.

A pure and juicy note of raspberry ganache is underscored by hints of toast and candied kumquat in this elegant, medium-bodied red. Lightly chalky tannins provide definition for the creamy flavor range, and spice and smoke notes accent the raspberry fruit as it echoes on the finish. Although I have already tasted this vintage, I'm happy to come back to it and check on its progress. The Planeta 2017 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico Dorilli shows a medium dark ruby color and offers straightforward aromas of cherry, wild berry and plum. This was a hot vintage in Sicily (and elsewhere in Italy), and you feel the extra heat and power as a result, although the alcohol content registers at a modest 13%. The wine closes with characteristic aromas of toasted pistachio and black olive. This is a vintage of 20,000 bottles. ~90 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
