The 2023 Montviel is a juicy, plump Pomerol to drink over the medium-termwhile the fruit remains vibrant. Succulent red plum, cedar, tobacco, mint and blood orange meld together in a juicy, racy Pomerol that is all charm. Silky, plush tannins wrap it up in style. Montviel is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, aged in once-used barrels from Le Gay and La Violette. It's hard to go wrong here. ~91-93 AG-VM

Red plums, spicy incense, and spring flower notes all emerge from the 2023 Château Montviel, a medium-bodied, supple, elegant 2023 offering beautiful ripeness, ultra-fine tannins, and a good spine of acidity.It's very much in the more lively, elegant style of the vintage while still bringing plenty of ripeness. It should easily be outstanding. ~90-92 JD
