The story of Louis Picamelot takes us back to 1926, when Louis, the son of a well-recognized winemaker in Burgundy, started producing Burgundian sparkling wine (or “Bourgogne Mousseux” in French). He became one of the first sparkling wine producers in the Rully region.

Some years later, what started as a humble dream, became a family’s successful business. Today this family-owned winery is managed by Philippe Chautard, who is also the mastermind behind these pieces of art.

Maison Louis Picamelot is one of the oldest Crémant wine houses in Burgundy and is famous for its deep devotion to honoring its terroirs.

Maison Louis Picamelot’s Crémant de Bourgogne is a high-quality sparkling wine. Grapes are carefully handpicked and produced by the traditional Champenoise method. The result is an elegant Cremant. This is is the perfect option for sparkling wine lovers who are looking for high-quality bubbly at a reasonable price.

Decanter says that “Champagne region no longer has a monopoly on high-quality fizz. Look beyond France’s premier sparkling region, and you’ll be rewarded – there is a surprising wealth of complex and keenly priced options to discover, in the Crémant sparkling wine category.”

57% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay, 11% Aligoté. A lemon gold color, with a rich but discreet foam. A fine balance between the fruity aromas coming from the grape varieties and the toasty aromas following the aging in the bottle. A lovely balance between vinosity and crispiness.
