Two Hands Wines is the brainchild of two mates, Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz, who decided back in 1999 to shake things up in the Aussie wine scene. Starting with a modest $30k and a dream to make the best Shiraz on the planet, they built Two Hands into a global icon. Now, their wines are winning hearts and awards everywhere, and Lily’s Garden is one of their shining stars.

This Shiraz is pure McLaren Vale magic, showcasing why the region is legendary for bold reds. Two Hands has always been about celebrating the land, letting each wine sing with its own unique voice. And Lily’s Garden? Oh, she sings—a soulful, powerful ballad of ripe black fruits, smoky spices, and velvety tannins.

The winemaking at Two Hands is next-level. Every single parcel of fruit is handled with care—small batches, meticulous fermentation, and oak aging that’s just right. Their state-of-the-art winery was built with one goal: to let the fruit shine. No shortcuts, no compromises. It’s this obsessive attention to detail that earned them praise from Robert Parker, who called Two Hands “the finest negociant south of the equator.” Pretty big deal, right?

Lily’s Garden is part of Two Hands’ iconic Garden Series, a collection that highlights the best Shiraz-growing regions in Australia. It’s a love letter to McLaren Vale, crafted to perfection by a team that lives and breathes wine. Whether you’re sipping it now or stashing it in your cellar for a special day, this bottle promises an unforgettable experience.

Aging: 18 months in 15% new French oak.

100% Shiraz. It’s everything you want in a Shiraz. Deep purple, with a nose that’s pure indulgence: mocha, lavender, fresh plum, and a hint of smoky liquorice. On the palate, it’s rich and full-bodied, with cascading black fruits and a perfect balance of acidity and tannins. The finish? Long, smooth, and absolutely unforgettable.

This has a bold feelwith plenty of rich dark plums, blackberries and hints of cocoa. The palate is ripe, fleshy and mouth-filling with long, dark-fruit flavors. Plum-stone finish. Drink or hold. ~93 James Suckling

There is plenty of verve to the framboise, blood orange, and dried cherry flavors, with accents of dried lavender, green tea and white pepper. A robust thread of juicy acidity and a note of toasted cumin lingers on the finish. Drink now through 2032. 2,500 cases made, 700 cases imported. ~93 Wine Spectator
