Produced Only in TOP Vintages: 2015 La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino

Have you ever walked into your cellar, or perused your wine rack, pulled out a Brunello di Montalcino, and thought, “Oh, shoot, it’s not ready!” Back it goes. Brunellos do best with age on them, and today we have an aged Brunello from the magical 2015 vintage for under $50! The best thing (besides the amazing price) is that this wine is ready to drink now or store for years to come.

La Fiorita does not craft this iconic Brunello every year. The wine—vinted by American-born Natalie Oliveros whose Calabrese Nonna exposed her at an early age to basement winemaking—is produced in only TOP vintages.

Tuscany’s 2015 is considered one of the region’s best years ever, a 97-point “not to miss” vintage, according to Wine Spectator. James Suckling says the “vintage is a historical year for Brunello di Montalcino that nobody should miss.” And La Fiorita’s 2015 Brunello is definitely a wine nobody should miss.

Produced from some of the best estate grapes grown in a vineyard shifting toward organic viticulture, it’s crafted in a modern cellar with a two-level gravity-fed cantina. The result is a rich, classic Brunello that Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate says “stands out thanks to the very glossy and polished quality of the fruit on display.”

Wine lovers and collectors are clamoring to fill their wine racks and cellars with 2015’s lauded Tuscan bottles. The longer the bottles from this vintage are on the market, the scarcer they’ll become.
