By Pinot Connoisseurs for Pinot Connoisseurs: 2019 Maison L'Envoye Two Messengers Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
I was once told, “The human heart rejoices in good Pinot Noir”. Well, I can assure you that today, my heart is absolutely rejoicing over the offer I’m bringing for you! This world needs more Pinot like this one: 2019 Maison L'Envoye Two Messengers Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
One of the most exciting attributes of this wine is its birthplace. Hailing from the Willamette Valley, this wine showcases all of the quality of its counterparts in Burgundy without any shortage of new world style. To quote Decanter Magazine: “The Oregon wine region has been exciting wine professionals and ahead-of-the-curve consumers for a while. In particular, its cool-climate, high-quality Pinot Noir has inevitably been compared with Burgundy, although more in terms of outright quality than stylistic similarities.”
Maison L'Envoye has been producing outstanding, A-1 wines since its launch back in 2011. This winery was founded by Mark Tarlov, who you’ve probably heard of if you’re a cinephile; he was an American film producer, director, speechwriter, and winemaker.
Mark Tarlov brought in the expertise of Louis-Michel Liger-Belair of Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair. Louis-Michel is one of the brightest young stars in the industry, and the top wines from his estate in Burgundy regularly fetch four-digit prices...
This Pinot Noir is vibrant, with joyful aromas of red berries, rhubarb, and clove. The palate is opulent but focused and the wine feels alive throughout its impressive length. This is the perfect wine for your grilled salmon, pulled-pork burger, or chocolate truffle.
