Bonjour Wine-Lover!
Today I’m overly excited with the offer that I have for you today, C'est almost Incroyable!
This wine comes from one of my favorite wine regions in the world (and I’m guessing it is one of yours too!). Today, we are traveling through the incredible, unique & majestic Bordeaux to the sub-region of Fronsac. Some people call Fronsac the "Tuscany of Gironde" due to the rolling hills that unfurl along the river's edge. Fronsac has managed to position itself in the world of wine thanks to its excellent limestone terroirs and beautiful landscapes. Fronsac offers some of the best value wines in Bordeaux.
Today's offer, the Carlmagnus is the favorite of tennis phenom Rafael Nadal and the former French President Jacques Chirac.
If you want to taste the true power of a Bordeaux wine, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, the 2018 Château de Carlmagnus Fronsac is for you!
Chateau De Carlmagnus has a nearly 100-acre vineyard with 25+ year-old vines. The climate conditions, the copious hours of sunshine, the clay-calcareous soils, and limestone plateaus combine to form a vineyard paradise. Merlot makes up 90% of the entire vineyard. Rockstar Stephane Derenoncourt is the wine consultant.
Arnaud Roux-Oulié grew up among wines and vineyards, learning and absorbing valuable advice from his grandfather and mother; when he took over this magnificent Château, we can assure that he had wine in his blood!
In addition to being a winemaker, Arnaud has another passion: Art. Arnaud has managed to connect his art with the wine in an exquisite way, drawing inspiration from each of his works to his wines.
"Our goal is not only to produce a great wine but also to make you discover the beauty and richness of our terroir." Arnaud Roux Oulié
This is the ideal wine to pair with grilled dishes and your favorite people. Just picture this: A lovely autumn afternoon with your closest friends, on the table a luscious tender slow-roasted Roast Beef, and in your hands, a glass of this amazing wine. This part of your life… this little part is called happiness!
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Carlmagnus gives pronounced notes of plum preserves, baked blueberries, and mulberries with touches of mocha, licorice, and tar. Full-bodied and jam-packed with opulent, expressive black and blue fruit, it has a firm, velvety frame and fantastic freshness, finishing long and layered ~ 94 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
