About the Wine

Sebastiano Jasci is the man behind this magnificent project. Jasci grew up surrounded by nature since his family was dedicated to agriculture (specifically to table grapes) and livestock farming. Thanks to his involvement in the family business, Sebastiano’s aka “The milkman” wine-dream was born.

Jasci e Marchesani winery is a pioneer in organic and biological agriculture in Italy. Since 1960, the winery started the production of organic wines, and a few years later they obtained official recognition for their organic productions.

"We don't consider organic farming a trend or a way of market positioning, rather as a mindset that gave us the chance to relate to the land with a completely natural approach." ~ Nicola Jasci.

J&M is completely committed to the environment and the land; not only are the vineyards managed sustainably, but these practices have also been adopted in the winery using renewable energy, and in the bottling with lighter glass bottles and certified recycled paper labels to minimize environmental impact.

This ambitious family-owned winery is located in Vasto, in southern Abruzzo, and it is made up of more than 80 acres planted with typical varieties of the area. All the grapes are harvested manually and undergo a careful individual bunch selection.

Tasting Notes: 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Full-bodied with aromas of baked strawberries and cherries, with a refreshing and intriguing entrance, scents of vanilla and anise. Pair this wine with classic Italian cuisine, like tomato-based pasta, truffle risotto, and semi-mature cheeses.
