Bodegas Zuazo Gaston is a family producer with a history stretching back to 1850. Recently, the winery expanded from Rioja into Ribera del Duero with the acquisition of a well regarded producer, Teofilo Reyes.
The vines that form the structure of this wine sit at over 2400 feet above the valley and are more than 30 years old. You would be right to expect a more expensive wine. Bright red cherry colour with slight purplish nuance around the edge. Intense aroma on the nose, combining fruit notes with elegant aging aromas. The palate is smooth and well balanced, with a long and intense finish.
