The Marqués de Griñón, Carlos Falco is one of the most important producers in all of Spain. He was a founding member of the Pago classification in Spain, guaranteeing that wine produced at his estate meets a certain standard of quality. He was one of the first producers in the region to start using international varieties in his vineyards, such as the Syrah seen in this wine. On top of all of that, he is constantly striving to improve. Falco brings in internationally known consultants, such as Michel Roland, to help improve his product. These wines are deep, powerful, and should not be missed.

Dominio de Valdepusa has been in the noble family of Carlos Falcó Fernandez de Córdova, the Marquis of Griñon, since 1292. Falcó graduated from the University of California Davis with a degree in viticulture and oenology in 1964. He returned home and began making wine, all the while pushing the boundaries of winemaking as set by Francoist Spain.

SVMMA is a Latin word used to indicate that the epitome of knowledge has been reached. Indeed, as a result of two generations of care and research, the Falcó family has crafted this high-caliber wine. Made from 70% Syrah, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Petit Verdot, the grapes are separately fermented and aged in French oak (10-14 months) before the final assemblage.

Deep ruby-red in color with purple reflections, this wine shows rich notes of dark berries, clove, smoke, and pepper. On the palate, layers of mineral and fruit notes are interwoven, accompanied by soft tannins, silky texture, and excellent concentration
