Terranoble was founded in 1993 by a group of visionary and motivated friends and businessmen, who also happened to adore wine. The project was led by Jorge Elgueta with one goal in mind: “Pioneering the potential of the Maule Valley to produce fine wines.”

Terranoble has been a watershed in the current history of Chilean wine. Since 1994 the winery has been committed to the emblematic Carmenere and the Maule Valley. They have been innovating and experimenting in their vineyards and winemaking in order to fully comprehend the magic of their terroir, and produce top premium wines.

After many years of experimenting and leading the winery to superior quality, in 2016, Terranoble was awarded “Chilean Wine Producer of the Year” by The International Wine & Spirits Competition.

The winery is sustainable and responsible in all senses. In 2019, they obtained a “Sustainable Wine of Chile” certification, and later that year, they joined the program “Wine in Moderation” to promote responsible consumption of wine. The following year, Terranoble obtained the V-Labelthat guarantees that all the wines are vegan.

Marcelo García is the mastermind behind these wines. Throughout his extensive experience in wine, he and his wines have won several accolades including the country’s “Best Cabernet Sauvignon” in 2013 at the Annual Wines of Chile Awards.

This Gran Reserva Pinot Noir comes from the coldest area of Casablanca. This results in a fresh, easy-to-drink, and very elegant Pinot Noir.

Aging: 8 months in used French oak barrels.

100% Pinot Noir. Intense, fresh, and mineral. On the palate, it is delicate and fruity, with vibrant acidity and in perfect balance with its tannins.

A delicious, refreshing, and above all very fruity version of pinot noir made from clonal material and also from mass selections from Burgundy, planted on the granite and clay soils of the hills of Las Dichas, to the west of the Casablanca Valley and about 15 kilometers from the sea. The harvest has been early and that largely explains how nervous this wine is, how fresh it feels, the crispy redness of its fruit in a pinot to quench thirst, but it also marks an interesting path to explore in Chilean wine. More intense and juicy pinots like this one are needed. ~92 Descorchados
