The Schrader name is synonymous with outstanding, high-scoring Napa Valley Cabernet that is very limited and very expensive. Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown has made so many 100 pt and near perfect wines, we've lost count.
Winemaker notes: This intensely dark and solid wine displays a lavish fruit core with notes of black currants, raspberries, and graphite. The palate carries flavors of mocha and cedary oak mixed with crushed blackberries and other black fruits. This elegant example of the 2017 vintage is testament to the incredible fruit that is coming from the Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard.

About the Winery
There is not much to be said about Schrader that hasn't already made headlines. Fred Schrader, an art and antiquity trader, attended the Napa Valley wine auction in the late 90's. He fell in love with Napa and then met Andy Beckstoffer and Thomas Rivers Brown. From that time, they sourced outstanding fruit from the To Kalon vineyard and set the wine world ablaze with some of the most sought after, collectable and delicious Napa Valley Cabernets ever created.
Reviews
This is tight and linear with blackberry, blueberry, gun-metal and lavender character on the nose and palate. Full yet tight and bright. Extremely long. ~94-95 JS
A barrel sample, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Lpv has quite an earthy nose to begin, offering black cherry and blueberry pie notions plus touches of dried roses, incense, dusty soil and violets with a waft of dark chocolate. The palate is full-bodied, with great concentration and firm tannins with a touch of chew, finishing long. ~94-96 WA
