Conn Creek has been Napa’s master of Bordeaux-style wines since 1973. Founded by wine pioneers Bill and Kathy Collins, Conn Creek helped shape Napa’s rise to stardom as a premier wine region. Over 40 years later, they’re still focused on what Napa does best: exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals.

Conn Creek’s story begins with founders Bill and Kathy Collins, who saw an opportunity to turn 45 acres of underwhelming vines into a pioneering winery. From its earliest days, Conn Creek focused on what Napa did best—Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals—but they took it one step further. With ingenuity and a bit of risk, the Collinses purchased barrels of Cabernet from the esteemed Eisele Vineyard in the 1970s, blending and bottling a wine that skyrocketed Conn Creek into the spotlight. It wasn’t just wine; it was a statement of Napa’s potential to rival the best in the world.

Fast forward to the 2012 Herrick Red Blend, a wine born from decades of dedication and expertise. At the helm of Conn Creek’s winemaking is Tom Montgomery, a man whose experience in both Napa and Sonoma has earned him accolades for his masterful approach. With a degree in enology and viticulture, Tom brings an unparalleled understanding of how to coax every nuance from the grapes. His philosophy is rooted in the belief that wine should reflect its terroir and vintage—a philosophy beautifully realized in this wine.

The Herrick Red Blend pays homage to Napa’s Bordeaux heritage while offering something distinctively its own. It’s a wine crafted to honor Conn Creek’s tradition of excellence, yet with a modern sensibility that appeals to today’s wine lover.

This isn’t just a wine—it’s a celebration of Conn Creek’s legacy and a bottle that embodies the passion and vision that have driven them for over 50 years.

Supplies are limited, and a wine like this won’t last long. Don’t miss your chance to experience a piece of Napa history.

In 2012, Napa Valley experienced excellence, earning an impressive 96-point rating from both Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator. The latter described it as "A solid vintage across the board marked by a tannic spine that will age well."

A blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Syrah, 6% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 4% Primitivo. Bold red and black berries cradle vanilla and floral accents. The berries unfold on the palate into notes of tapenade and espresso powder, finishing with boisterous tannins.
