This is a serious wine, rich and mouth-coating, yet exquisitely balanced. It harks back to the legendary Napa Cabs of 1994 and 1995, where fruit-driven opulence met the restraint and structure of traditional Bordeaux and 1970s Napa Valley. Ruston Family Vineyards has been farming the west St. Helena hills since 1941. What started as a prune orchard, transformed into a small but mighty vineyard, producing wines that reflect the rugged terrain, complex soils, and a legacy of passion. 

2019 was a fabulous year for Napa Valley. Wine Spectator awarded this year a 97-point score, and Vinous Media gave it 96 points saying that "The 2019 Napa Valley Cabernets have turned out beautifully. 2019 is a very high-quality vintage of Cabernets that will be easy to drink and enjoy with minimal cellaring. The extra kick of late heat softened the tannins, making the wines a pleasure to taste and drink."
