Production at this Napa Valley winery was continuous through many different generations of winemakers before the Sinegal family purchased the St. Helena property in 2013. A multi-million dollar expansion and modernization produced the first wines under the Sinegal label just a year later to enviable critical reviews and ratings. With a rave review from Antonio Galloni and a deep discount, this wine is a can't miss.

The winemaker, Ryan Knoth, is no stranger to the top names in the industry. Having spent time working with David Abreu and Michel Rolland, Ryan has seen how some of the top wines are made. At Sinegal Estate the motto is to take a field-first, micro-farming, and fermenting approach to winemaking. With just over nine acres of grapes, the team gets to know every vine up close and personal. Using traditional methods of farming and modern methods of fermenting, they are able to meticulously craft a distinct bottle of wine that captures the true spirit of this magnificent estate.

Aging: Aged 20 months in 85% New French Oak barrels

85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, Malbec, 2% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. This beautiful wine has amazing energy complete with a seamless tannin structure and long finish. Flavors of dark red cherry, mocha, and plum are met with hints of minerality and spice. As the wine sits in the glass, the aromatics and flavors develop incredible depth and texture.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon turned out beautifully. Rich, sumptuous, and incredibly alluring, the 2018 will drink well right out of the gate. Dark red fruit, mocha, spice, and licorice are some of the notes that build in the glass. I would give it a few years in bottle, or alternatively, open it in advance. Aeration and the passage of time did wonders for the 2018. It spent 20 months in barrel, 85% new. ~97 Antonio Galloni
