This Châteaux is full of traditions and history and is located in the Saint-Julien appellation. Since its beginnings in the 17th century, art and culture took an important place here, great personalities of that time such as Molière were invited to perform.

Today this imposing and elegant Châteaux is owned by France's Grands Millésime. With over 222 acres planted with Bordeaux varieties, the estate is mostly planted to Cabernet Sauvignon.

Châteaux Beychevelle is blessed to be located in one of the best terroirs in the world. Thanks to its soils set on two deep gravel plateaus and its proximity to the Gironde River, this is a complete paradise for Cabernet Sauvignon. This Châteaux not only produces extraordinary wines but also has beautiful architecture worth visiting.

2022 was an extraordinary vintage for Bordeaux, it was blessed with a 95-98 pt review by Wine Spectator who said: "A new paradigm for Bordeaux. Very aromatic and sleek, fresh and pure in feel, with all major varietals performing well; far more consistent than the 2018-2020 trio."

Aging: 18 months in French oak barrels (70% new)

54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot. Château Beychevelle 2022 has a very dark color with black tints, a sign of good maturity. Its attack is fresh and elegant. It is a rich and generous wine, with tannins of controlled power and a perfect balance between richness and freshness. Very good length on the finish. 2022 joins the list of great vintages produced at Château Beychevelle.

Flowers, black cherries, cedar, tobacco wrapper, and blackberries crowd into the perfume. On the palate, the fruits match the nose. The wine is silky, fresh, vibrant, and concentrated. The fruits express purity, elegance and refinement. The finish delivers a wealth of sweet red, and black fruits, creamy textures and a chalky finish that sticks with you. The wine blends 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot.14% ABV, pH 3.85. The harvest took place September 12 - September 29. The yields were 36 hectoliters per hectoliter with 60% of the harvest going into the Grand Vin. Drink from 2027-2060. ~97 The Wine Cellar Insider

I was able to taste the 2022 Château Beychevelle on multiple occasions, and it never failed to impress me. Based on 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot that will see 18 months in 70% new oak, it's one of those wines that makes you stop and say "wow" due to its purity, depth, and texture. Sporting a dense purple hue as well as lots of blueberry and black cherry fruits, it's full-bodied and has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, building yet gorgeous tannins, and subtle background notes of crushed violets, flowers, and graphite. This is a sensational effort from director Philippe Blanc. ~95-97+ Jeb Dunnuck

The 2022 Beychevelle was picked between 12-29 September at 36hL/ha, matured in 70% new oak. It has an intense bouquet with black cherries, blueberry and touches of cassis and violet. Not as ostentatious as some other Saint-Julien wines at this early stage, but delineated, and it positively brims with energy. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit framed by beautifully-sculpted tannins. The 2022 is very harmonious, satin-like in texture, and gently fans out toward the finish. It ends up being one of the most seductive Beychevelles I have tasted from barrel, one not to be overlooked.Chapeau, Mr. White! ~95-97 Vinous Media

Supple, rich and velvety. Great delineation of tannins and fruit with creamy blueberries and cola touches alongside savoury elements of dark chocolate, liquorice and salt. Structured, fresh and well worked, this feels sophisticated, focussed and confident. It's missing a touch of acidity, but this has plenty of polish, seduction and potential to age. ~95 Decanter

Deep dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Tobacco and herbal savouriness and in the background red cherry fruit, some cassis, still a bit of a shy bouquet. Juicy, medium complexity, fresh, red berry, some nougat, elegant food companion, red cherry finish, versatile style. ~94 Falstaff

This is a fine, dusty wine. Its tannins and black fruits are layered with acidity and a dry core. There is plenty of promise in this solid wine, showing the benefits of the winery's new installations. ~94 Wine Enthusiast

A solid wine with blackberries and black cherries with fresh flowers and rose petals. Medium body. Bright and focused. Fine tannins. Silky.  ~93-94 JS
