Captures the spirit of the second plénitude: peak of energy, intensity, high definition, and precision.

Nose:

The wine has an intense, full and radiant bouquet.

Notes of honeysuckle, orange colored fruits and hints of iodine sensations.

Palate:

The creamy chewiness characterizing the vintage is channeled in a direction that is edgy yet embracing with a wave of aromatic persistence. Smoky, biting and full energy finish balances it all out.

Dom Pérignon P2 Vintage 1995 spent 16 years in the cellars. After 7 years, Dom Pérignon P2 bottles are turned upside down, sur pointe, to slow down the oxidation process. The wine is regularly tasted by Dom Pérignon oenologists to determine the perfect time for release. Each bottle is disgorged by hand prior to release.

Dom Pérignon P2 is carefully elaborated over the years in the cellars by the Dom Pérignon chef de cave Richard Geoffroy. It arrives directly from the cellars in its ideal second plénitude, ready for consumption.

Reviews

The 1995 Dom Pérignon P2 is in great shape today. Lemon confit, orange blossom, honey, hazelnut, smoke, chamomile and buttery notes infuse the 1995 P2. Ample, generous and resonant on the palate, the 1995 has a lot to offer. I would prefer to drink it over the next 10-15 years, as the 1995 doesn't look like it has the depth or freshness to be an especially long-lived wine, by Dom Pérignon standards. ~ 95pts, VM
