Domaine Belleville was established at the beginning of the 20th century in the land surrounding Rully. Since its creation, it has been one of this appellation's better-known domains recognized for their consistency and quality. The village of Rully is steeped in history since many traces of Gallo-Roman remains have been found in the most well-known terroirs: Cloux, and Raboucé. The famous King of France, Louis XIII, was known to have a love and appreciation of Rully wines. The wines of Domaine Belleville are made in the strict respect of its land, each wine comes from a single plot to highlight the diversity of the terrorist. These wines offer incredible value and showcase the acclaim for one of Burgundy's lesser-known villages.
The Domaine tends to 18 hectares of vineyards from Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, Puligny-Montrachet,Santenay, Rully, and Mercurey, all of which have been utilizing organic production methods since 2017. The village of Rully is particularly well-known for its remarkable limestone terroir, which is composed of marl and clay perfectly fit for the chardonnay grape. The white wines that are produced here easily rival those produced at close-by Côte de Beaune. They are ample and smooth with good consistency and noble texture, similar to those of Mersault.
