In 1970, the Gyéjacquot Champagne House was founded by brothers Daniel and Michel Gyéjacquot. The main business was selling grapes. Today, the second generation continues with Cyril and Frédéric, Michel’s sons, at the helm. Rooted in brotherly love and devotion to their craft, the family remains deeply connected to their land and vines. Nestled along the main slopes and hidden corners of the Aube region, their vineyards are nurtured using sustainable, integrated farming methods. The House’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: “Only a good grape can produce good wine.”

Gyéjacquot Champagne is celebrated for its unique character. The ‘Collection’ Brut combines 80% Pinot Noir with 10% Pinot Blanc and 10% Chardonnay. The limestone-clay soils from the Kimmeridgian period impart freshness, roundness, and minerality to the wine. The dosage is carefully balanced at 8 g/L (Brut), and the grapes are hand-harvested to ensure only the finest quality fruit is used. Pinot Blanc, a rare and treasured grape in Champagne, represents just 75 hectares of the 35,000-hectare appellation. Its inclusion lends the wine a delightful roundness and exceptional resilience to frost, making it a key component of this distinctive blend.

The Gyéjacquot vineyards span seven picturesque villages, including Champ-du-Clos, Val-lune, and Chante-Merle in the Cotes de Bar. Their commitment to sustainability is unwavering. Several plots are under organic conversion, embracing biodynamic viticulture, while others are cultivated using sustainable practices without herbicides and with minimal chemical treatments. The pursuit of High Environmental Value (HVE) certification highlights their dedication to eco-friendly farming. The river l’Ource plays a vital role in regulating vineyard temperatures, creating protective mists that shield the vines from frost in winter and enabling slow, even grape maturation. This natural resource also supports innovative methods such as misting young buds to protect them from early frosts.

80 % Pinot Noir 10 % Pinot Blanc 10 % Chardonnay. The NV Gyejacquot Champagne 'Collection' Brut greets you with vibrant aromas of white fruits. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious blend of richness and complexity, with enticing notes of cherry and verbena. The finish is smooth and indulgent, with the Pinot Blanc enhancing its suave, gourmand qualities. Crafted with precision and care, this Champagne is a testament to the House’s philosophy of excellence.
