About the Wine
This wine is a St. Emilion inspired blend from the Central Coast of California.
Aged 19 months in 50% new French oak, this wine is a blend of 52% Cabernet Franc and 48% Merlot. The wine has a dark ruby purple core. It's an aromatic red with black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, complex notes of spiced vanilla, licorice, cinnamon, and subtle dried leaf, cedar and camphor notes.
In the mouth, the wine is full bodied, fresh with red and black fruit and baking spice on entry with savory fall leaves, cedar pencil and leather meeting sustained sweet spice on the midpalate. The finish is long and complex with wild cherry, camphor and savory elements wrapped in firm, balanced tannins. This is an elegant, wonderfully balanced wine that mixes complex fruit and savory elements with generous texture, all while staying fresh on the palate.

Reviews
One of the top wines from California's Paso Robles region, the 2013 Justin Vineyards & Winery Justification successfully illustrates a fine effort from the Right Bank (specifically Saint-Émilion) of Bordeaux. These wines are classically defined as soft and elegant in comparison to their counterparts from the Médoc or Left Bank. This wine shows beautiful, ripe fruit aroma and a silky palate texture. It finishes smooth and supple in the aftertaste. A fine choice with grilled lamb chops would be the perfect match. Drinking well now, with potential to develop over the next several years. ~91pts WW
