The Poulleau family has been crafting Burgundian wines since the 1960s. Today the estate is run by the 2nd and 3rd generations. Their small 8 hectares of vines are used to passionately craft minuscule quantities of some of the finest expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the world.
Their 2019 Bourgogne is crafted from vineyards in the villages of Volnay, Meursault and Savigny-lès-Beaune. The vines average 50 years in age
Elevage: 12 months in French Oak, 100% barrel fermented
Tasting Notes: 100% Pinot Noir. Red currant and cherry fruit, savory herbs, a slight note of straw in the nose. Lots of fruit on the palate, cherry, and currant, tree bark flavors fashioned in an easy, bright, fresh wine; good+ length with soil complexity on the finish. A real overachiever!
