Turley's 2021 Old Vine Zinfandel comes from vines ranging from 50 to 130 years of age. Why is this important? Because as vines get older they get better at producing quality fruit. A general rule of thumb is the old the vine the better the quality of fruit from that vine. So when I hear vines that are 50 to 130 years old, I get goosebumps. The excitement builds and my mouth begins to salivate.
